Aquatic Bodywork
Watsu® is a unique form of bodywork, combining stretching, movement and massage while being floated in warm water. The body is allowed to move freely while being safely supported, creating a space for physical and emotional patterns to release. This gentle and nurturing experience helps release tension, improve range of motion, and create a profound sense of relaxation and emotional release. Watsu is beneficial for reducing stress, relieving pain, and enhancing overall well-being, and has many more therapeutic benefits.
I also practice Healing Dance®, which was developed by Alexander George, a ballet choreographer who practiced Watsu and expanded it to a beautiful movement oriented therapy. Healing Dance also incorporates underwater work, in which the receiver wears nose plugs and is gradually taken underwater, which enables the entire spine to move freely, and allows for even greater freedom of movement and play. Underwater work can be quite transformative, and has been used with success with Veterans and others suffering from PTSD.

What My Clients Are Saying
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
The lymphatic system consists of a network of capillaries, vessels and nodes that help transport lymph, a fluid containing a combination of immune boosting cells and potentially harmful cells throughout the body to remove toxins, waste, and other unwanted materials. MLD uses light, rhythmic strokes to encourage the movement of lymph fluid towards the lymph nodes, where it can be filtered and returned to the bloodstream. This technique is especially beneficial for reducing swelling (edema), enhancing immune function, and promoting overall detoxification. It’s often used post-surgery, during cancer treatment, or for chronic conditions that cause lymphatic congestion.
Some Conditions MLD May Help:
- Pre surgery prep, and Post surgery swelling
- Fibrotic tissue prevention after liposuction or breast surgery
- Lymphedema
- Auto immune disorders (Lymes disease, Scleroderma, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus)
- Chronic Fatigue
